Face recognition attendance

Attendance that marks itself as people walk in

A camera at the gate recognises enrolled staff and marks them present. No queue at the biometric machine, no buddy punching, and a photo stored against every mark so a disputed entry can be settled in seconds.

Enrol once

A few photos per person, captured at the gate under the lighting the camera actually has — not studio portraits that will never match.

Walk in

The camera matches the face against enrolled staff as they approach. No stopping, no touching, no card.

Marked automatically

First in and last out recorded per day, with the matched frame stored alongside so anyone can verify it.

Exported to payroll

Daily and monthly exports with employee ID and hours, in the format your payroll team already works with.

The daily view

Who is on site, right now

Beyond the attendance register, the dashboard answers the question a security or HR desk asks all day: who is here. Live matches as they happen, unknown faces flagged separately, and repeat-visitor patterns over the week.

  • Present-now count against enrolled staff
  • Unknown faces raised as a separate queue
  • Visitor register kept apart from the employee list
  • Peak-hour view so you can staff the gate properly

Where it fits

Three places this replaces a queue

Factory shift change

Two hundred people arriving in ten minutes is where fingerprint machines fail. Nobody stops walking here.

Office reception

Staff marked on the way in, visitors photographed and logged against the person they came to meet.

Campus gates

Student and staff attendance at the gate. Because a campus is full of minors, consent and retention need extra care — we set that up with you deliberately.

Questions

Frequently asked

How is this better than a fingerprint machine?

Nobody touches anything, so there is no queue at shift change and no hygiene objection. It also cannot be shared the way a card or a PIN can, and a photo of the enrolled person is stored with every mark, so a disputed entry can be checked.

Does it work with masks or helmets?

Masks reduce accuracy and the system tells you when confidence is low rather than guessing. For a factory gate where helmets are mandatory, we enrol people wearing them so the reference matches reality.

Can someone fool it with a photo on a phone?

Liveness detection is what stops that, and it is a specific feature that has to be enabled and tested — not something to assume. We demonstrate the spoof attempt during the pilot so you see the behaviour yourself.

Where are the face templates stored?

On your infrastructure. A template is a mathematical representation, not a photograph, and it cannot be turned back into a face. You decide the retention period and who can export.

Is face-based attendance legal in India?

Biometric data is personal data under the DPDP Act, which means you need a lawful basis, a stated purpose, a retention period and a way for a person to raise a grievance. The system is built to support that. The policy itself is your call, and worth running past your counsel.

Can it export to our payroll software?

Attendance exports as CSV with employee ID, date, first in and last out, plus total hours. An API integration into a specific HRMS is scoped separately.

Try it on one gate first

Enrol a department, run it alongside your existing system for a month, and compare the registers before committing to the whole site.
